Our resident eastern red fox grabs a quick drink and then 3 raccoons visit right after him. The second raccoon we named “Bull dog Tuft Ear” for his stocky appearance and a tuft of fur on his right ear. BDTE also had a pretty serious injury to his front left paw but it has healed after 2 months of limping.

The fox we named Mangey. He was successfully treated for beginning stage mange in the wild and is healthy now. Charleston SC Jan 2026
