Possums and raccoons are around each other all the time. The raccoons don’t seem to mind but the possums generally don’t like all the raccoon drama :).

We had a rainstorm that day, so maybe the opossum hadn’t dried off yet or perhaps he/she spent a little time in the marsh. Charleston SC March 2025
