Two Raccoons eating Pecans from Pecan trees in our front yard. Raccoons love eating nuts. The area we live in is known for the massive pecan trees and all of the wildlife love pecan season: raccoons, birds, possums, squirrels, rats, and foxes.

The raccoons dig into the pecan shell sideways with their back teeth and dig in. The possums come later for the dregs because I think they have a harder time cracking the shell. The birds come the next morning for whatever is left. Charleston SC March 2025
