Fidgety Palm Warbler Feaking and Preening

Fidgety Palm Warbler in Pear Tree Charleston SC Nov 2024 preening and feaking. Eastern subspecies most likely because of the brighter yellow colors. Palm Warblers have yellowish eyebrows and a brown line through the eyes, a chestnut cap, subtle brown steaks on the breasts, and yellow under parts. This palm warbler is feaking (cleaning, honing/sharpening) it’s beak and also preening (bird self care!). Palm warblers love to forage on the ground and eat the smashed pecans in our driveway that have been cracked when we drive over them ๐Ÿ™‚
